One slate. Two separate $10 entries into the same 10X contest. Both cashed. @costello199991 built two tickets that shared some picks and split on others, and walked away with $550 combined off $20 in entry fees.

Meet the Player

@costello199991, repping Texas, who apparently didn't want to choose between two reads on the same Friday night and just built both.

Ticket One: $10 In, $300 Out (8 Legs)

Winnipeg Blue Bombers moneyline (CFL): Brady Oliveira ran for 70 yards and a touchdown and added 80 receiving yards as Winnipeg rolled past winless Ottawa 33-21.

NJ/NY Gotham FC moneyline (NWSL): Kansas City's Amelia White scored 22 seconds in, tying the league record for the fastest goal in a regular season game. Gotham answered with goals from Midge Purce and Sam Kerr to win 2-1.

Seattle Reign FC moneyline (NWSL): Maddie Mercado scored in the 53rd minute and Seattle held on to beat Chicago 1-0.

Houston Astros moneyline: This one needed extra innings. Christian Walker's three-run homer with two outs in the 10th lifted Houston past Seattle 10-7.

Los Angeles Dodgers moneyline: Yoshinobu Yamamoto struck out nine over six innings and Los Angeles beat Milwaukee 3-1.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto Over 4.5 Strikeouts: Same game. Nine is well clear of the number.

Over 8.5 Total Runs, Angels vs. Royals: Kansas City and the Angels combined for 13 runs. Comfortably over.

Oakland Athletics +1.5: Oakland didn't need the cushion. Jeff McNeil had a four-hit night and the A's beat Texas outright, 8-3.

Eight legs, eight wins.

Ticket Two: $10 In, $250 Out (7 Legs)

Winnipeg Blue Bombers moneyline: Same result as above.

Los Angeles Dodgers moneyline: Same result as above.

Colorado Rockies moneyline: Colorado won at Oracle Park, 5-2 over San Francisco.

Kansas City Royals moneyline: The pick that made this ticket different. Jac Caglianone drove in five runs on a three-hit night and Michael Massey also went deep as Kansas City upset the Angels 7-6 on the road.

Over 8.5 Total Runs, Angels vs. Royals: Same game as the upset above, same result.

Oakland Athletics +1.5: Same result as ticket one.

Kumar Rocker Over 2.5 Strikeouts: Rocker went five innings for Texas in the loss to Oakland and struck out three, just enough to clear 2.5.

Seven legs, seven wins.

$20 In. $550 Out. Two Different Reads, One Slate.

The overlap between these two tickets is the interesting part. Both leaned on Winnipeg, the Dodgers, and the Athletics. But where ticket one played it straighter with the Angels-Royals over and a strikeout prop on the winning pitcher, ticket two took the Royals to win outright on the road, plus a strikeout prop on the losing pitcher. Two different angles on the same night, and both worked.
