Texas beat Oakland 5-3, a game that stayed under the total after the A's scored all three of their runs in a single second-inning burst. Los Angeles beat Kansas City 1-0 behind eight scoreless innings from Reid Detmers, the kind of pitcher's duel that makes every "under" prop in the game look obvious in hindsight. Milwaukee beat the Dodgers 4-1 on the strength of two-run homers from Joey Ortiz and William Contreras.

@ah76 read all three games as low-scoring affairs and picked accordingly: two separate under-0.5-runs-in-the-first-inning props, a game total under, and three separate players (Mookie Betts, Mike Trout, and Moises Ballesteros) all going under 1.5 combined hits, runs, and RBIs. In a night with a 1-0 final score sitting right in the middle of the card, none of those unders were ever in real danger.

Night Two: A Completely Different Card, Same Result

 

Two days later, @ah76 didn't repeat the formula. This time it was overs, moneylines, and a live WNBA game mixed with MLB.

Golden State clinched a playoff berth with its sixth straight win, beating Dallas 78-70 behind 23 points from Gabby Williams and 16 from Veronica Burton. @ah76 had both of them going over their scoring lines, plus a Valkyries win, while also correctly reading that a third Golden State player would stay under her own number in a game that leaned on just two scorers.

On the baseball side, Philadelphia beat Miami 6-5, and the Dodgers beat Colorado 11-5 behind two doubles from Tommy Edman, with Blake Snell picking up the win and Tomoyuki Sugano taking the loss for the Rockies. @ah76 had the Phillies and Dodgers both on the moneyline, Edman going over on hits, and Sugano staying under on strikeouts, reading correctly that a pitcher getting run out of a blowout wasn't going to rack up punchouts on the way out.

Nine legs, nine wins. $10 turned into $450.

Two Different Reads, Same Result: Right.

 

What makes this stretch worth writing about isn't one big number, it's the range. Night one was a card built for a quiet, low-scoring evening. Night two was built for the opposite, overs and moneylines on games that were going to be handled. @ah76 read both nights correctly and built the right card for each one.
